We are looking for volunteers to mentor children and young people aged 5-11 who are engaged with our Ar Trac Project.
As a mentor, you will provide children who have experienced domestic abuse with opportunities to build their confidence and self-esteem and have problem-free time.
Mentors can act as a person of consistency for the child, helping them set positive goals and offering encouragement, praise and positivity, resulting in a more well-adjusted, happy, confident, and positive young person.
Volunteering as a mentor is extremely rewarding. As one of our mentors fed back recently: “Knowing that just giving some of your time can make a difference to someone’s future is amazing.”
We are particularly looking for male volunteers, but also welcome interest from women.
