What do we stand for?

Cyfannol Women’s Aid is an evolving charity with over 40 years’ experience supporting those affected by .

Our vision is for everyone to be empowered to flourish in a life free from VAWDASV. Our teams work tirelessly 365 days a year to support those who need them.

It is our mission to deliver across Gwent a range of person-led and trauma-informed services to any person, particularly women and children, who has experienced any form of VAWDASV, regardless of their needs and the multiple disadvantages they face.

It is our ambition to evolve all that we do by listening, learning, evaluating and adapting.

I’ve had a wide variety of jobs over the last 40 years, including in the public, private and voluntary sectors, but I can honestly say that Cyfannol is the best place I’ve worked – great people, worthwhile job, and really feel appreciated for what I do.

What could your employment package look like?

Positive work-life integration

We are a family-friendly employer, with agile working options and a time off in lieu (TOIL) policy.

Employee Assistance Programme

A free and confidential service available to all staff and volunteers.

Enhanced annual leave provision

Up to 35 days per year FTE (inclusive of bank holidays). We also recognise long service with increased annual leave by 1 day per year after 5 years, up to 10 years of service.

Business mileage

We offer a mileage rate of 45p per mile, with an additional 5p per mile for passengers.

Organisational sick pay

We offer enhanced sick pay entitlement, beyond the statutory minimum.
