Our Christmas Campaign

Christmas Presents 2021

Christmas 2021:

Thanks to the support of individuals, groups and organisations across our communities, our Christmas Campaign for 2021 made a real difference. In addition to the gifts received via our offices across Gwent, we also raised over £2,500 in donations, which ensured those we were supporting over the festive period could still experience the magic of Christmas.

The looks on the faces of the women and children when we passed on the gifts was priceless. There were tears of happiness from one woman, who was so grateful to have been thought of at Christmas. It is amazing to see the joy and relief these donations bring and how the support we receive from our community continues to make such a positive impact on the lives of women and children.”

Our Last Campaign

International Women’s Day:

This year we celebrated International Women’s Day by spreading awareness in the run up to Tuesday 8th March. Based on the theme of #InformedIsEmpowered, we’ve debunked myths relating to domestic abuse and sexual violence, discussed key topics and opened our platforms for any questions you may have about Cyfannol and the work we do.

What is International Women’s Day?

The very first IWD gathering was in 1911 supported by over a million people.

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.

Why we celebrate International Women’s Day?

We use this day to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness about women’s equality, lobby for accelerated gender parity and fundraise for female-focused charities.

Domestic abuse is everybody’s business and we need your support more than ever.

You can help to make a difference to individuals and families experiencing Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence in Gwent.

Why not:

  • Run an event like the Marathon, or take part in another sporting challenge in the area.
  • Host your very own Coffee Morning to raise awareness of our work
  • Hold a virtual gig, quiz night, or craft event.
  • Or come up with your own fantastic fundraising idea!
