New Mentoring Volunteer Training Dates
We are pleased to announce new training dates for volunteer mentors. These sessions will equip and prepare you for a role as a mentor for a boy, aged between 5 and 11, who is at risk of or have experienced the effects of domestic violence.
Cyfannol Women’s Aid’s Mentoring Project matches mentors with young people who are at a vital social skills learning point in their lives. There is strong evidence that the mentor/mentee relationship adds real value in the child’s interaction with family members, peers, educational and social settings, as well as impacting their understanding of positive relationships.
We will be running training over the following dates for new volunteers:
|Day 1||Saturday 6th May||10-4pm||Monmouthshire MAC, Abergavenny|
|Day 2||Saturday 13th May
|10-4pm||Monmouthshire MAC, Abergavenny|
|Day 3||Saturday 20th May||10-4pm||Monmouthshire MAC, Abergavenny|
Lunch and refreshments are provided and you can claim your travel expenses for attending the training.
Additional training days will be available as an add on to further learning looking at developing your volunteering support with more specific areas covering:
